This sunday and monday coming. With the superb steve harvey on drums. Steve produced her latest album and also drummed on frank mccombs album 'the truth'.
Groovemeister, dazzler, moose and whoever else is around, fancy meeting for that? I'm going anyway cos it's gonna be a good gig.

Went to this gig tonight. Absolutely amazing. The band was fantastic. Awesome grooves all night. Wasn't steve harvey as advertised, it was a guy called tommy bradford who I'd heard of. Incredible player and hit the drums reaaally hard! Dead solid, some great solos
and very nce licks.

Hey drumaddix,
no she didn't sing that one which I would have loved, and I would have loved to hear her funky version of autumn leaves. But she did an awesome solo version of louie armstrongs 'wonderful world' and she did 'feeling orange but sometimes blue' which featured some great latin drumming by bradford. She also did an encore of the beatles 'come together' in a real dirty, funky, gritty style. It was great. The rest was downright kickass funk! I just realised, tommy bradford is the original drummer off her albums. I shook his hand and complemented him to which he said thanks but then he sort of brushed me off and walked away before I could finish the next sentence, lol. I think he had his eyes on a female though. ^_^
But hey, I got a huge welcome and big hugs from ledisi after the show since I post at her messageboard. She was as excited to meet me as I was to her. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

Here is tommy bradford playing live with ledisi but from the album, not the show. It's interesting because you can't really tell from recordings how hard drums are being hit yet he's slamming those drums very hard if last night was anything to go by.
